College Information for Juniors, Seniors, and Parents

- Students can use the Common App to apply to multiple colleges at the same time. Check and see if the college that you’re interested in accepts the Common App. Students can also use Common App to look for scholarships.

- The FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, opened on October 1st and will remain open until April 1st. See how much money you can get to go to college!

- What you need to complete a FAFSA

- The Family and Community Engagement Center will be hosting FAFSA Completion Days, as well as a College Apply and Admit night.  These events are free for seniors and their parents.

- If you are a current student in need of a copy of your transcript, you can request it for free from Mrs. Busbee. If you need to send a transcript to any colleges that you are applying to, you will need to do so through Parchment. Click here for information on how to set up a Parchment account.

- If you are a former student, you can also request your transcripts through Parchment. You can set up the account for free and have your transcript sent to an employer email, a college or institution, or directly to yourself for a small fee. We prefer that former students use Parchment to request transcripts. However, if it important that you receive a hard copy, you may call the guidance office and request to pick up a copy in the Northrop main office. There will be a $1.00 fee per transcript and turnaround time is one business day.

- Please check the Guidance Schoology page for information on an assortment of scholarships. Information changes frequently so make sure to check back for updates.
