Sophomore girls invited to non-traditional employment workshop

NEW committee logo

The N.E.W. Workshop Committee has put together a workshop for sophomore girls to learn more about non-traditional job opportunities.

The program has been promoted among high school guidance counselors and that is how students can register. Permission slips are due by Thursday, Sept. 21. If you have a female sophomore student who might be interested, please make sure they get the informationin the attached flyer from their guidance counselor. There are plenty of spots available, so get the students signed up soon.

The N.E.W. Workshop is an exciting opportunity for female sophomore high school students who will be introduced to a variety of industries, meet female leaders, and get hands-on experience. The purpose of the workshop is to expand the career possibilities for young women to consider and pursue. This workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Indiana Tech. Transportation will be coordinated by FWCS and lunch will be provided.

The N.E.W. Workshop committee is made up of leaders from MKM architecture + design, YMCA, Asher Agency, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Tech, and Start Fort Wayne.
