Security Director, Continuing Ed Manager Approved
The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees approved two administrative appointments Monday, June 24.
Patrick Boles, Continuing Education Manager Patrick Boles was promoted to Continuing Education Manager at Anthis Career Center after serving as Continuing Education Coordinator since 2009. Boles began his career in education as a substitute teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools in 1977. He worked as a teacher and administrator at several FWCS middle and high schools for nearly 25 years before becoming principal at Lakeland High School in 2002. He returned to FWCS in 2009. As Continuing Education Manager, he replaces Bonnie Rogers, who retired during the 2012-13 school year.
Dottie Davis, Security Director Dottie Davis joins FWCS after spending 31 years with the Fort Wayne Police Department, advancing to the rank of Deputy Chief in 2006. She has advanced training in several areas, including family violence, mental illness and hostage negotiations. She has received multiple Meritorious Service Citations from the Fort Wayne Police Department, and was the recipient of the Athena Award from the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce in 2007. She has also received the Community Hero Award from the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, the Commitment to Ending Violence in the Community Award from the Center for Nonviolence and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rocky Mountain Women in Law Enforcement, among many other awards. Davis has served as an instructor and lecturer for several police agencies as well as at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and the University of Saint Francis. As FWCS Security Director, Davis replaces John Weicker, who is retiring after 40 years with the District.
