FWCS Celebrates Graduates
Fort Wayne Community Schools will celebrate commencement Friday and Saturday for the nearly 2,000 members of the Class of 2014.
The members of the Class of 2014 leave their high schools with varied future plans. Some will pursue higher education at colleges such as Indiana University, Purdue University, Emory University, Duke University, Brandeis University and The Citadel. They will study pre-med, astro engineering, education, nursing, international relations and much more. Some graduates will enter the military or continue working on the technical training they need to start a career in trades such as carpentry or automotive mechanics. Still others will jump right into pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams, focusing on building their own businesses. But before embarking on their new adventures, they will come together one final time for their graduation ceremonies at the Memorial Coliseum.
Commencement ceremonies are held in the Memorial Coliseum at the following times:
- Northrop – Friday, June 13, 6 p.m.
- Wayne – Friday, June 13, 7:30 p.m.
- Snider – Saturday, June 14, 10 a.m.
- South Side – Saturday, June 14, noon
- North Side – Saturday, June 14, 1:30 p.m.
