Community Leaders Visit Wayne High School
Local business and community leaders participating in the fourth annual Seeing is Believing Tour will visit Wayne High School, 9100 Winchester Road, on Thursday, March 23, to learn more about the educational programs offered at Fort Wayne Community Schools.
Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and the Fort Wayne Area PTA Council are once again partnering with Fort Wayne Community Schools to provide an in-depth look into what makes FWCS the school system of choice for thousands of families. While visiting Wayne High School, participants will learn more about the innovative programs offered at FWCS, such as New Tech Academy, a project-based learning environment that allows students to take on real-world issues while learning in their core and elective subjects.
“We appreciate the support we receive each day from businesses and community organizations,” FWCS Superintendent Dr. Wendy Robinson said. “They understand the vital role strong public schools play in the economic development of our community. By visiting our schools, they can see for themselves the great work being done in our classrooms each day to ensure our graduates become productive, responsible citizens.”
Excursion Trailways is providing bus transportation for the event. Participants will gather at Indiana Tech at 9 a.m. to board the bus; the tour at Wayne will take place from 9:30-11:45 a.m.
