Study Wins Annual Food Drive Contest
Associated Churches and local members of the National Association of Letter Carriers will celebrate Study Elementary at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10, for collecting the largest amount of food in the annual food drive contest.
Each year, Fort Wayne Community Schools participates in the food drive, which benefits the Associated Churches Food Bank. Study collected 1,180 pounds of food during the food drive
“"I’m so very proud of these students. In their busy academic coursework, they still found time to give back to the community,” said Roger Reece, Associated Churches Executive Pastor.
The 26th annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive takes place Saturday, May 12. Food items collected locally will be donated to Associated Churches. Additional information on the national food drive can be found at www.nalc.org/community-service/food-drive.
