FWCS Celebrates the Class of 2018
Fort Wayne Community Schools will celebrate commencement Friday, June 8, and Saturday, June 9, for the more than 1,800 members of the Class of 2018.
The members of the Class of 2018 leave their high schools with varied future plans. Some will pursue higher education at institutions such as Indiana University, Purdue University, Pratt Institute, Emory University and Brigham Young University. They will study education, music, pre-med, business and much more. Some graduates will enter the military or continue working on the technical training they need to start a career in trades such as carpentry or automotive mechanics. Still others will jump right into pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams, focusing on building their own businesses. But before embarking on their new adventures, they will come together one final time for their graduation ceremonies at the Memorial Coliseum.
Commencement ceremonies are held in the Memorial Coliseum at the following times:
- Wayne – Friday, June 8, 6 p.m.
- North Side – Friday, June 8, 7:30 p.m.
- Northrop – Saturday, June 9, 10 a.m.
- South Side – Saturday, June 9, noon
- Snider – Saturday, June 9, 1:30 p.m.
