Several students completing the FWCS Career Academy Automotive Program will participate in a signing day at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Tom Kelley Buick GMC, 633 Avenue of Autos.

The students were chosen for the dealership’s internship program after completing an application and interview process in November. Students will be signing their pay plan, job description and affiliation agreement, along with being presented their Kelley Automotive team shirts.

The automotive internship program is just one of the opportunities students have at the FWCS Career Academy. Internships are also available in the Information Technology, Culinary Arts and Welding programs. Other programs have job shadowing and cooperative education opportunities embedded into the programs. It is the goal of the Career Academy to become a talent pipeline and provide students with opportunities to gain valuable experience working with community partners.
