Fort Wayne Community Schools staff members will be covering the city Thursday, May 30, visiting homes throughout the district from 5-7:30 p.m. During the door-to-door campaign, nearly 400 FWCS staff members will thank families for a great school year and remind them to complete online pre-registration.

Online pre-registration is available to current families through July 8 via the MyFWCS parent portal on the FWCS website, Families will still need to attend in-school registration, but if they complete the pre-registration online, they will be able to go through the Rapid Registration line. In-school registration will be from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, July 26, and noon-7 p.m. Monday, July 29. Parents will need to bring a photo ID and two proofs of residence. New families can register any time at the Family & Community Engagement Center, 230 E. Douglas Ave.

With nearly 30,000 students, Fort Wayne Community Schools is one of the largest school districts in Indiana. FWCS proudly allows families to choose any of its 50 schools through its successful school-choice program creating diversity in each school, including some with more than 75 languages spoken. FWCS offers seven magnet schools focusing on areas such as science and math, communication, fine arts or Montessori at the elementary and middle school level. In high school, students can choose from the prestigious International Baccalaureate program, Project Lead the Way or New Tech Academy as well as other rigorous academic and specialty training programs.
