Filling in for the principal today will be...
State Representative Win Moses and Fort Wayne Chief of Police Rusty York will join a host of community, business and government leaders in experiencing the ups and downs, joys and frustrations of today's public educational process. Fort Wayne Community Schools will hold its 11th annual Principal for a Day on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Guest principals will begin their day when students arrive at their building: 8 a.m. for secondary and 8:50 a.m. for elementary. Their time at the helm will wrap up in time to travel to North Side High School where at 11:30 a.m. they have lunch with Superintendent Dr. Wendy Robinson. Media are invited to catch up with the principals at their school or during the luncheon, when they will talk about their experiences to Dr. Robinson.
The annual event is designed to promote awareness of public education. Last year's participants raved about being able to see for themselves what is happening in today's classrooms.
