Fort Wayne Community Schools Yellow Ribbon Task Force, one of several committees working on the district's Long-range Facility Plan, will hold additional meetings on Dec. 20, Jan. 18 and 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at North Side High School. Here is a list of upcoming meetings slated for the district's Long-range Facilities plan: Dec. 18, 9-11 a.m., Financial Task Force, Board Room at Grile Administrative Center Dec. 20, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - Yellow Ribbon Task Force at North Side High School Jan. 9, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - Joint Meeting - Yellow Ribbon Task Force and Financial Task Force at Northrop High School Jan. 9, 7 p.m. - Public Forum at South Side High School Jan. 18 - 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Yellow Ribbon Task Force, North Side High School Jan. 18, 5:30-7 p.m. - Board Facilities Meeting at Grile Administrative Center Jan. 20, 10 a.m. - Public Forum at North Side High School Jan. 25, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - Yellow Ribbon Task Force at Harrison Hill Elementary School Jan. 31, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - Yellow Ribbon Task Force at North Side High School Feb. 13 - 1028 Hearing. With nearly 30,000 students, Fort Wayne Community Schools is one of the largest school districts in Indiana. FWCS proudly allows families to choose any of its 50 schools through its successful school-choice program creating diversity in each school, including some with more than 75 languages spoken. FWCS offers seven magnet schools focusing on areas such as science and math, communication, fine arts or Montessori at the elementary and middle school level. In high school, students can choose from the prestigious International Baccalaureate program, Project Lead the Way or New Tech Academy as well as other rigorous academic and specialty training programs.
