Construction on Taylor Street between Ardmore Avenue and Portage Boulevard will make it challenging for parents to get to registration at Portage Middle School and Lindley Elementary School on Friday, Aug. 1, and Monday, Aug. 4. Entrances at each school will be affected by the road closure. Fort Wayne Community Schools is asking parents to be aware of the construction and use Ardmore Ave. to access Lindley and the east end of Taylor to access Portage. City officials expect construction on Taylor to be done by Aug. 15, prior to the first day of school on Aug. 18.
