BMX riders Brett Banasiewicz and Chris Gerber will perform at Shawnee Middle School today at 3 p.m. The riders are in Fort Wayne for a weekend Mega Ramp ASA Triples big air BMX competition at the Memorial Coliseum. The event consists of the top 12 pro riders in the country. Brett, who is from South Bend, and Chris, a Fort Wayne native, will bring ramps for the 30-minute demonstration for students. With nearly 30,000 students, Fort Wayne Community Schools is one of the largest school districts in Indiana. FWCS proudly allows families to choose any of its 50 schools through its successful school-choice program creating diversity in each school, including some with more than 75 languages spoken.
