New Principals Appointed to Lincoln, Maplewood
The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees on Monday, Aug. 13, approved two new principal appointments for the 2012-13 school year.
Frank Kline, Lincoln Elementary School Frank Kline takes over as principal of Lincoln Elementary School after serving as principal of Maplewood Elementary for five years. Kline joined FWCS in 1992 as a substitute teacher. He then worked as a social studies teacher at Wood Youth Center and Portage Middle School before becoming an administrative intern in 2005-06. He worked as an intern at Jefferson Middle School, and during the 2006-07 school year, he served as assistant principal at Franke Park Elementary.
Brian Howard, Maplewood Elementary School Brian Howard is the new principal of Maplewood Elementary. Howard joined FWCS in 2001 as a second-grade teacher at Washington Elementary. In 2004, he moved to Harrison Hill Elementary where he taught third grade until he became an administrative intern at Waynedale Elementary in 2011.
