It's Turkey Time at Harrison HIll Elementary

It’s more than just a turkey call competition! It’s the 35th annual Gobble Off at Harrison Hill Elementary. Students, dressed like that favorite Thanksgiving bird, will offer up their best turkey gobble. The student who wins the Gobble Off will be presented a frozen turkey. The runner-up gobbler will receive a pumpkin pie. Students K-2nd will participate in the Gobble off at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22. Students in 3rd-5th grades will gobble at 1:45 p.m.

With nearly 30,000 students, Fort Wayne Community Schools is one of the largest school districts in Indiana. FWCS proudly allows families to choose any of its 50 schools through its successful school-choice program creating diversity in each school, including some with more than 75 languages spoken. FWCS offers seven magnet schools focusing on areas such as science and math, communication, fine arts or Montessori at the elementary and middle school level. In high school, students can choose from the prestigious International Baccalaureate program, Project Lead the Way or New Tech Academy as well as other rigorous academic and specialty training programs.
