High School Director, New Principal for Study Approved
The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees approved two administrative appointments Monday, June 10.
Tim Bobay, Study Elementary Tim Bobay will become principal of Study Elementary School. Bobay has served as principal of Bloomingdale since 2010. He began his career in education in 1999 with East Allen County Schools. In 2006, he came to Fort Wayne Community Schools as an assistant principal at Fairfield Elementary, and in 2007 was named principal of South Wayne Elementary. At Study, he replaces Brandon White, who is moving to Haley Elementary.
Chris Hissong, High School Area Director Chris Hissong joins FWCS after spending 33 years as a teacher and administrator in East Allen County Schools. Hissong started as a P.E. teacher at Paul Harding High School in 1980. Ten years later, he became an assistant principal, and in 1994, became principal of New Haven Middle School. In 2000, he took over as principal at Heritage Junior-Senior High School, where he stayed for a decade. Since 2010, he has served as the Executive Director of School Management for EACS. As High School Area Director, he will work with High School Area Administrator Debra Faye Williams-Robbins in overseeing and supporting the District’s high schools.
