FWCS Approves New Administrators
The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees on Monday, Sept. 24, hired two new administrators.
Thomas Harris, Human Resources Director
Thomas Harris was hired as the District’s human resources director, replacing David Richards, who left FWCS earlier this year. Harris has more than 20 years in human resources positions in the community, including leading human resources departments for Allen County(1992-95), Wolf Corporation (1995-98), Parker Hannifin (1998-2002) and Our Sunday Visitor (2002-12). Harris is also a member of the Allen County Council. He was elected in 2010 to represent the 2nd District. Harris begins Oct. 1.
Beth Ann Gibson, Capital Projects Coordinator
Beth Ann Gibson joins FWCS as the capital projects coordinator and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the $119 million building project. Gibson has owned her own construction project and program management company for the last two years and has more than 30 years in the construction management business. She began her career in Austin,Texas, with the Carrington Group before returning to Fort Wayne in 1983 to work in the City of Fort Wayne’s Department of Community Development and Planning. She then took a position with Construction Control where she stayed for 25 years becoming vice president and senior project manager.
