Northrop's Charisma Heads to FAME Competition in Chicago - April 21, 2017
Northrop’s mixed show choir, Charisma will compete at the FAME National Show Choir competition in Chicago April 21-22. The group qualified by being one of the top finishers earlier in the year at the Carroll High School Invitational. This is the first time that the group or any FWCS group has qualified for the National FAME competition. Charisma has been preparing for the competition since returning from their trip to Disney over spring break. Charisma consists of 54 singer/dancers, 20 band members and a crew of 17. The group is directed by Tom Maupin and choreographed by Chris Rasor; Rob Wilson directs the band. This year Charisma is assisted by Nick Maloy and William Mosier. This year’s competition show is based on the movie and musical “School Of Rock.” Throughout the months of January, February and March the group competed all across the state and won numerous awards.
