Welcome to Virtual Academy

The past year has been a year like none other. Fort Wayne Community Schools like so many other districts, needed to make necessary adjustments to our instruction to continue our mission of educating all student to high standards.

In that process, we accelerated our technology plans to ensure that all students within the District had a device and tools capable of allowing them to continue their learning remotely. As we made adjustments and learned more about how to deliver content digitally, we discovered the need of many of our families to continue participating in a virtual learning environment.

While we are encouraging students to return to school full-time, in-person this fall, we understand that many families believe the virtual environment is a better fit for their student.

To that end, we are excited to announce the establishment of Fort Wayne Virtual Academy to meet the needs of our students who would like to remain virtual.
